Rob Phillips
I grew up hunting the farm country of Kent County, and that is where I still live with my wife and two children. I started following my Dad as soon as I could walk and have been hunting myself for the last 26 years. Bow hunting is my foremost passion: my first true love. I love to hunt Whitetails, and for me it is an all year pursuit. Looking for sheds, planting food plots/improving properties, and hanging stands occupy most of my free time throughout the year. I also love Turkey hunting, and I have hunted or called for people throughout the state. By far, the greatest experiences I have had are incorporating my family into my outdoor pursuits. Nothing is more important than passing the love of the outdoors on to the next generations. That’s why I love being part of Michigan Whitetail Pursuit.
Aaron Kamp
My name is Aaron Kamp, and I am the youngest member of the MWP prostaff, I have been hunting with Calvin since I was old enough to hunt, and can proudly say I was the first member of the Michigan Whitetail Pursuit pro-staff! We started filming each other’s hunts about 4 years ago. I hunt mostly around the Lowell/Ada area and occasionally north to Sand Lake in Montcalm County. Although I have taken most of my deer with a gun, I primarily bowhunt because of the extended hunting season and for the challenge of shooting a deer in Michigan with a bow! Although hunting in Michigan is definitely not easy, I did have the privilege of taking a nice 2 1/2 year old 8 point last year, as well as a couple of does. Hunting in Michigan is not always about the success; it’s about enjoying the great outdoors and having fun!
Sarah Molnar
When it comes to the outdoors, I am very passionate at enjoying many different activities, and seeing God’s creation through the experiences I have had while out in nature. I love the challenges that hunting brings, and the reward once you harvest an animal. Whitetail deer and turkeys are my favorite animals to hunt, nothing excites me more than sitting out in the tree stand with my bow, having does and bucks surround you, and hoping to get that perfect shot. I would love to have the opportunity to hunt bear, elk, or moose in the future. Living in Michigan is such a joy, and being able to explore everything this great state has to offer. Whether embarking out in the snow on my snowmobile, paddling down the river in the kayak, cruising in the woods on my ATV, crossing the 26.2-mile finish line, or roasting marshmallows around the campfire, it will always be apart of me.
Paul and Hailey
Are a husband/wife team. It is their 2nd year with MWP. Paul has been hunting ever since he can remember! Hailey went hunting with her dad a few times growing up but really got into it when she met Paul when she was 17. They both hunt in the Grand Rapids area as well as in Gratiot County. Paul’s passion is bow hunting. Hailey loves her bow, but enjoys bringing out the guns too! They both love being in God’s creation and can’t wait to bring their little boy, Slade, 1, into the woods when he gets bigger!
I live in Grand Rapids and am the Assistant Producer for Michigan Whitetail Pursuit, and video editor for Pennsylvania Whitetail Pursuit. I mostly hunt the swamps and lowlands around Cannonsburg and Ada in Kent County. I have only been a deer hunter for three years but I’m having a great time doing it and am learning a lot. When I’m not deer hunting I like to duck hunt and fish, and in the Spring I love to turkey hunt with the rest of the MWP Prostaff.
Colten and Brent
Have been hunting primarily private land in Michigan near their hometowns of Moline and Wayland, in Allegan County, since they were old enough to put on their CAMO. They have been with MWP for two seasons, but have been hunting, fishing, and playing baseball together since they were 15. Whether chasing turkey, whitetail, small game, or spending a relaxing day fishing, they both love carrying out their family traditions of being in the outdoors. They both feel that filming their hunts adds a whole new challenge to the great sport, and are proud to be a part of MWP as well as being Americans!
Jake
is a face you can remember off MWP Season 2, because he was on the DVD so much! He is back filming for his sister Sarah this year. Sarah has been hunting for many years and has a love for the outdoors. She hopes to get her first kills on film this year! Hats-off to a new member of MWP!
Sarah and Keaton
live in Saranac, Michigan where we both grew up. We hunt primarily in Ionia County, Michigan. We usually hunt tree stands that are set up on food sources, swampy timber or field edges, but occasionally will do a stalk if needed. Although we both are busy with school, we make time to get out in the woods and hunt as hard as we can from October 1st to January 1st. We hunt every season from bow to gun to muzzleloader, but primarily like bow hunting because of the challenge and skill that it takes to get the deer that much closer to you. The cool thing about Sarah and I however, is that we are just friends that have grown up hunting together.
Steve Sr. and Steve Jr.
both view hunting as a passion in their life. Their love for hunting started at an early age with their fathers. Steve Sr. received his love for hunting and all of God’s creation from his dad, and the impact on his life will last forever. To Steve and Steve hunting is a time to reflect on the important things in life. It is a privilege that should not be taken for granted to experience nature and all of God’s wonders. Hunting gives a chance to share experiences with friends and fellow hunters. Lastly, hunting offers the opportunity to pass the tradition down to their children to experience all that nature has to offer!
Calvin Beeke
I founded Michigan Whitetail Pursuit in 2009 with Gar Allison. I am always after the biggest hunting challenge, and for me…that is shooting a mature whitetail on pressured Michigan land. I hunt and film all over the state from the Thumb to Traverse City to East of Grand Rapids. We will bring you 3 DVD productions every year from turkeys to deer. Filming and living in God’s creation with people who love the same is my favorite activity to do. Enjoy MWP Season 3, coming to a store or tradeshow near you!
